FIH President Tayyab Ikram met with H.E. Maj. Gen. Topply Mulambo Lubaya, Ambassador of Zambia to Egypt, to discuss the continued growth, development, and infrastructure of hockey in Zambia.

The meeting highlighted the importance of Government support for the Zambia Hockey Association, along with joint efforts to promote youth participation through the upcoming FIH World Youth Hockey5s Championships 2026 in Zambia.

Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening hockey’s foundation in Zambia, empowering young athletes, and expanding the sport’s reach across Africa — in line with FIH’s global vision of Hockey for All.
