President of the International Hockey Federation, Tayyib Ikram, praised the distinctive organization of the 2026 Men’s Hockey World Cup qualifiers, which was held at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia City from March 1 to 7, with the participation of eight national teams.
The president of the International Federation emphasized that the success of the tournament reflects the ability of the Egyptian Federation to host and organize international hockey tournaments at the highest level of professionalism.
The IHF sent a letter of thanks to the Egyptian Hockey Federation headed by General Ashraf Farhat, emphasizing his appreciation for the efforts made in the organization, excellent cooperation with the local authorities and the IHF team, which contributed to providing an ideal competitive environment for participating teams and the audience.
Meanwhile, Major General Ashraf Farhat, President of the Egyptian Hockey Federation and a member of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, expresses his sincere thanks to the International Hockey Federation for the confidence in Egypt to host the tournament, and to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the full support, and thanks to Mr. Saif Hamed, President of the African Hockey Federation, United Sport Corporation, and all elements of the Egyptian Federation on their great efforts to make the championship successful and appear at the supervisory level.
