Member | AfHF
Professor Ediga B. Agbo became associated with hockey from secondary school and has remained glued to the game ever since.  He played at several levels from club to state level tournaments and also had a brief stint in the Nigerian national team in 1989.  He stopped playing at tournament level in 1995 and took to umpiring.

He has since become an Umpires Manager and is currently one of the few Umpires Managers in Africa.  Administratively, he has been involved in the activities of the Nigerian Hockey Federation since 2001.  He was a member of the NHF Board from 2001 to 2005.  After a period of absence from the Board during which he remained associated with the game he returned to the Board in 2013 to become the Technical Director of the NHF.

He has been committed to the improvement and re-positioning of the game in Nigeria and Africa.  Ediga has officiated many tournaments in Africa including major events like the Olympic qualifiers and Nations cup tournaments.

A Professor of Microbiology, Ediga combines his involvement and commitment to the game of hockey effectively with his University teaching and research activities.  He was elected into the AfHF Board in 2015 as Ordinary member and has been a very effective member of the team.
